President's Awards

This prestigious student award honors a student who has demonstrated two or more of the following criteria. (Candidates do not need to meet all criteria): 

• High scholarly achievement by maintaining a grade point average of 3.50 or higher in their coursework at CSUDH
• Exemplary service in community leadership (role in the community), public service, and/or civic engagement
• Extraordinary leadership in the CSUDH community by positively impacting students, the campus community, and/or programs
• Extraordinary commitment and effort to increasing diversity, advocating for social justice, and/or promoting inclusiveness

All self-nominations will require a letter of support from staff or faculty.

This award honors a student for advocacy on campus or in the community to create a more just, equitable, and inclusive society free of racism, sexism, heterosexism, classicism, and other forms of oppression. All self-nominations will require a letter of support from staff or faculty.

This award honors a student club/organization that has planned and implemented an outstanding community service or awareness program that positively impacted the community. Special consideration will be made for community service programs with sustained enhancement or results.

Only nominations for student organizations recognized by the Office of Student Life and in good standing will be accepted for this category.

This award honors a student club/organization that has planned and implemented an on-campus event that positively impacted the campus community by substantially contributing to the quality of student life through social, academic, or cultural education.

This award honors a student club/organization that has demonstrated exemplary leadership through a wide array of programs resulting in increased involvement in campus life, campus collaboration, and student sense of belonging on campus or in the community.

This award honors and celebrates the life and legacy of CSUDH alumna and long-term staff member Marilyn Brady. This award recognizes a staff member for their exemplary dedication to students above and beyond their work responsibilities. Auxiliary staff members can be nominated.

This award is to honor a student club/organization faculty or staff advisor who has demonstrated outstanding support and personal commitment to a student organization. The award highlights advisors who have helped grow an organization, expand opportunities and provide extraordinary guidance.
